Structural Engineer with 20 years' experience in structural design and engineering.
Experience of having worked on a broad range of projects including residential building design and steel frame commercial buildings for a variety of clients including David Wilson Homes and numerous private clients.
A strong technical background in structural design and analysis, and in leading projects from conception to completion.
Technical experience in the application of complex structural analysis software including 3-dimensional modelling in MicroStran, LUCAS Finite Element Software and SuperSTRESS.

Education
Achieved Chartered Engineer status with the IMarEST in Feb 2015.
First Class Masters in Structural Engineering from Newcastle Upon Tyne. Graduated in 2005.
Interests
Interests outside structural engineering include competing in triathlon and keeping fit. Passionate about sustainability and the environment and have won awards for initiatives designed for reducing companies' CO2 emissions.
Publications
Co-authored a paper presented at the Austroads Bridge Conference 2009 entitled ‘Innovative Composite Steel / Concrete Bridge Solutions for the East Taupo Arterial Project’. The Contact Energy Bridge was a finalist in the SCNZ Awards for Excellence in Steel Construction in 2011.
